SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE AND FOOD MENTORING PROGRAM

The School  of Agriculture and Food Mentoring Program commenced as a pilot for graduate agriculture students in 2016; in partnership with the Gardiner Dairy Foundation. The program has grown each year and now includes students from all discipline areas in the School of Agriculture and Food (SAF) . Over the last five years, students and mentors have built strong relationships, with many maintaining communication beyond the year in which they participated.

The mentoring program aims to provide students with the opportunity to develop a greater understanding of the Australian agriculture sector and food industry through connecting with industry experts. Working with an experienced industry mentor helps students to contextualise their university study, grow their professional networks and identify career paths of interest to them.

In 2021 we welcome mentors Australia-wide to join the program, which will be run online.
