STEM Industry Mentoring Program

The STEM Industry Mentoring Program connects industry mentors from a breadth of sectors to STEM students looking for guidance as they make decisions about their careers. The program runs from July until November, and requires mentor and mentee pairs to meet at least three times during the mentoring period. Mentors and students are matched according to study area or degree, career interests and experience.

Applications for the 2024 STEM Industry Mentoring Program have now closed.

"The STEM Industry Mentoring program was the exact push I needed to explore post study career options.  It gave me a chance to ask all the questions I wanted about industry opportunities and future study paths in a judgement free environment. My mentor was a committed and enthusiastic mentor and I would recommend the program to anyone who isn't sure which career path to choose."

Mentors

Bologna

We welcome alumni from the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Science, and the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences with at least one year of industry experience to share their professional insights and support students with the transition from university into their chosen career.

Mentoring students who need advice on career choices is important. Helping them to critically think through the issues associated with these important decisions is rewarding for mentors. Being a part of the story in a student's career decisions has always been a passion of mine. The experience has enriched both myself and my mentee.
