STEM INDUSTRY Mentoring Program
The STEM Industry Mentoring Program connects University of Melbourne Science, Engineering and IT students with alumni mentors and industry professionals from within our community. The 2023 program will see mentors and mentees matched mid-year, with the program running until the end of the year.

The University continues to prioritise the health and wellbeing of our staff, students and community. For full details of the University’s response to COVID-19, visit our dedicated information page.
For Mentors
Applications for the 2023 program have now closed
We welcome alumni and industry mentors from a breadth of sectors who have experience to share with Science, Engineering or IT students.
Due to the integration of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences into the Faculty of Science, this year our program invites Veterinary, Agriculture and Food alumni to join.
“Mentoring students who need advice on career choices is important. Helping them to critically think through the issues associated with these important decisions is rewarding for mentors. Being a part of the story in a student's career decisions has always been a passion of mine. The experience has enriched both myself and my mentee.” Tracey-Ann - Mentor

"The STEM Industry Mentoring program was the exact push I needed to explore post study career options. It gave me a chance to ask all the questions I wanted about industry opportunities and future study paths in a judgement free environment. My mentor was a committed and enthusiastic mentor and I would recommend the program to anyone who isn't sure which career path to choose." Chrissi - Mentee
