Access Connections Mentoring Program

The Access Connections Mentoring Program aims to improve the post-study outcomes for under-represented students who have faced unique circumstances by connecting them with mentors from our alumni community. Now in its eleventh year, the program has expanded from just 25 student-alumni pairs in 2014 to over 2,000 Access Melbourne students having taken part!

Mentoring is an informal partnership, where a more experienced person provides guidance and support to a current University of Melbourne student. Meetings focus on career planning and advice to build the confidence and employability of students for when they transition to the workforce.

To learn more about the program including eligibility, program structure and key dates, read the information for studentsinformation for mentors and our FAQs.

“With such great matching, my mentor and I were completely at ease to get down to big questions straight away. I can’t recommend this program more, and the insight I have gained is invaluable as I embark on life after university. I feel so much more confident and prepared, while also knowing that I have someone with industry experience who I can meet up with for more wisdom for years to come.”
